Mimi Draft

Mimi Draft (she/her) is the senior communications associate at Activating Change. She has worked in the nonprofit arena for over a decade. As a member of the Activating Change team, Mimi supports the agency with public relations and marketing initiatives. She also assists in shining a light on the lived experiences of people with disabilities and Deaf people. Prior to joining the organization, Mimi honed her skills in community outreach, audience engagement, and content creation in the public health and government sectors.

Mimi has a bachelor’s degree in theatre from the University of South Carolina and a master's in communication with a focus on Strategic Communication Management from Purdue University. Mimi is an active volunteer in her community and dedicates her time to social issues like socioeconomic equity and community advocacy. Mimi lives in Columbia, South Carolina. In her free time, you can find her cooking, reading romance novels, or in the garden with her dogs, Elliot and Sasha.
